The spouses must express their acceptance of the marriage contract by saying “I accept”.”3. The permission of the girl’s guardian is required. This rule is valid for all mosques except the Hanafi.”4. Presence of Witnesses. These witnesses must be adults, mentally sound, two men or one man and two women. In other words, it is necessary to have at least one man present to testify.
