“Dear brother/sister,”
“After applying makeup, there are two important points to consider regarding whether or not prayer can be performed: “
“If a woman wears makeup, she should not show it to anyone other than her husband and trusted family members (such as her son, father, and brother). Showing oneself and going out in that manner in front of unknown men can lead to sin.”
This content refers to the ablution that must be performed before prayer. As it is known, for the ablution to be valid, water must touch the outer parts of the limbs that are being washed. If the substance applied to the limbs prevents water from coming into contact with the body, the ablution will not be valid.
“Avoid water from penetrating underneath by applying it completely on the nails. For example, in our law books it is clearly stated that wax is an obstacle for ablution.”
